Ibble Dibble
Ingredients: 2+players, 1 cork and a lighter or matches.
Establish a recognisable playing order by numbering each player with a call sign.
E.G.:
Player 1: Ibble dibble Number 1
Player 2: Ibble dibble Number 2
Char the underside of a cork by lighting it, letting it burn and blowing it out. Remember that any marks placed on the cheeks are named ‘ ibbles ‘ and marks made on the forehead are called ‘ dibbles ‘.
Play begins with player Number 1 calling out the following:
“ This is Ibble Dibble Number 1 with no ibbles and no dibbles calling Ibble Dibble Number 4 (or any player) with no ibbles and no dibbles.
Player Number 4 will respond:
“ This is Ibble Dibble Number 4 with no ibbles and no dibbles calling Ibble Dibble Number 2 (or any player) with no ibbles and no dibbles.
And so the game continues…
Verbal diarrhoea, speaking out of turn, miss-counting the number of ibbles or dibbles on your cheeks or forehead respectively, results in a mark being etched onto either your cheek or forehead with the charred cork and a drinking fine.
E.G.:
If player Number 3 made a mistake and was charred on the cheek, the game would continue,
“ This is Ibble Dibble Number 3 with 1 ibbles and no dibbles calling Ibble Dibble Number 4 (or any player) with no ibbles and no dibbles.
